My journey with boundaries began in the fast-paced, high-pressure world of the New York City emergency room. For 25 years, I witnessed firsthand the devastating impact of stress, trauma, and a lack of boundaries on countless lives.
But my story starts even earlier.
Growing up in Flatbush, Brooklyn, during the turbulent 70s and 80s, I saw the ravages of the crack epidemic, HIV, and the deep-rooted trauma that permeated my community.
These experiences ignited a profound sense of empathy within me and a desire to help others heal.
As an ER nurse, I saw the physical manifestations of emotional and psychological wounds, often stemming from a lack of physical and emotional boundaries. I realized that traditional medicine often fell short in addressing these root causes.
Then, in 2013, my own body reached its breaking point. I was unable to walk or work, a stark reminder that I hadn't been honoring my own needs.
This crisis became a catalyst for profound transformation. It invited me into a deeper journey into self-discovery and exploring alternative healing modalities, including the transformative power of psychedelics.
Through this journey, I discovered the profound impact of boundaries. I learned that they're not just about saying "no," but about creating a safe and supportive environment for yourself and others. They're about honoring your needs, communicating clearly, and reclaiming your power.
Today, as the co-founder of The Condor Approach, I'm passionate about sharing these lessons with others. I am often told that my unique blend of compassion, humor, and straight talk can empower you to create lasting change in your life.
